Seven Is Here!

There are some things in our world that are so amazing, so grand and so incredible that they are in a category all of their own. We call these “The Seven Wonders Of The World.” You have probably heard of most, if not, all of them. These include the Great Pyramids in Egypt, the Taj-Mahal and The Great Wall of China, just to name a few. The interesting thing is whenever we think of these wonders, questions always emerge like; “Who built it?”, “When was it built?” and “What was it’s purpose?”

Just as there are wonders in our physical world, there are wonders in the spiritual world as well. Some of the spiritual wonders include The Bible, Heaven and Salvation. And just as the earth’s seven wonders bring up questions, the spiritual wonders inspire their own set of questions. Questions like; “How did we get here?”, “Can the Bible be trusted?” and “Is Heaven a real place?”

The goal of this series is to help answer some questions that you may have about these Spiritual Wonders. Through interviews of ordinary people and panel discussions with pastors, we believe you will hear a wide scope of questions, opinions and truths about the seven topics covered in this series. These topics are:

Salvation & Baptism

What is a LIFE! Group?

A LIFE! Group is a small group of 3-12 people gathering in someone's home to learn and grow as they participate in a unique Bible-based curriculum. During a series Pastor Dudley will preach on a particular topic on the weekends then during the week the LIFE! Groups will meet and watch a 10-15 minute video on the same topic. Finally there will be a study guide based discussion again on the same topic.

The goal is to form supportive, biblically functioning relationships that encourage each individual to grow and follow the Lord more closely in life.

Groups gather at different days, times, and locations. We have over 300 groups all over the Los Angeles area so there are plenty of options for you. Please remember you can go online to choose a group that meets in your area at a convenient time for you.

ENCOUNTERS

An Encounter Retreat is an invitation to surrender completely to God. In order to experience freedom you must be willing to surrender every area of your life to the Lord. "Freedom from what?" you ask. Freedom from habits, burdens, wrong thinking, bitterness, and past experiences that hold you back. Freedom to live the life God created you to live. Can you imagine what that would be like for you?

Hundreds of people have attended these life-changing retreats and have walked away with tremendous testimonies of how God has changed their lives. If you come with a humble and open heart, ready to allow God to change you from the inside out, you will truly be blessed.

There will be approximately 60-80 other men or women on the retreat with you. Food, lodging, and transportation will be provided for you. They are held at Christian camps in the Southern California area. You will experience fellowship, like never before, with others from Shepherd. During the weekend there will be testimonies, Biblical teachings, and time with the Lord, which will help you understand what freedom looks like for you in every area of your life. If you're open, your life will be changed forever.
