Do you have online, digital series?
For the past 15 years, we have been producing small group curriculum in-house. With the help of our media and writing team, we have been able to provide relevant life group content to our church. In addition to the actual production of bible study lessons, we have also been able to create and print study guides, as well as DVDs to go along with each series.
All of our studies are inspired by Pastor Dudley’s vision and sermon series, and yet, can still serve as stand alone lessons.
We have three semesters per year that we roll out each new series. Winter (Jan/Feb), Spring (April/May) and Fall (Aug/Sept).
In an effort to keep group life consistent, we typically take a break in the summer (June/July) and end of Fall (Nov/Dec). For the groups that want to remain connected, we now offer an optional digital series to go along with our 3 scheduled semesters.
Along with Pastor Dudley’s yearly vision, we are now able to offer a 4th Life Group series. Like all other series, our media and writing teams are working diligently to provide culturally relevant and practical studies, so that our groups to have to skip a beat!
The 4th series that we have added to our life groups calendar, is still the same quality of content, but 100% digital. There are no printed study guides. There are no DVD’s. Using an Apple TV, Amazon FireStick or Roku devices, you can download the official Shepherd Church app and use it to stream this amazing digital content. If you do not own a streaming device, don’t worry, because you can always use your phone, tablet or computer to watch directly from our website at lifegroups.org/watch. Along with the ability to watch online, you can digitally download a study guide and take your study on the go!
WHEN AND WHERE DO LIFE GROUPS MEET?
We have over 300 groups that meet on every day of the week and throughout the San Fernando, Simi and Santa Clarita Valley. We are confident there is a group for you. Please remember you may go online to choose a group that meets in your area at a convenient time for you.
HOW OFTEN DO LIFE GROUPS MEET?
Most groups meet weekly. Due to vacation schedules, most groups, do not meet during the summer.
HOW LONG DOES A LIFE GROUP SERIES LAST?
Life Groups commit to meet during the current sermon series. This includes one series in the fall and two series between January and May. In-between those series, the group members decide if they want to continue meeting together for additional summer months.
HOW LONG DOES EACH LIFE GROUP MEETING LAST?
Each Life Group picks the length of time they will meet, however most groups meet for an hour and a half to two hours.
WHAT GOES ON AT A LIFE GROUP MEETING?
Every time a group meets, they spend time connecting by building relationships, growing through a discussion led Bible study, and making an impact by supporting each other through prayer and service. And as a result, group members experience growth, belonging, and care. A life group is your chance to pursue healthy relationships and spiritual growth.
WHAT DO GROUPS STUDY?
Every group member receives a study guide and each group leader receives a teaching DVD for the group. Our series are designed to follow Pastor Dudley’s sermon schedule so people in groups get to dive deeper into studying the same topic which was preached during the weekend services. The groups start by watching a 10-15 minute DVD teaching, followed by a discussion led Bible study. Each group usually ends with some fellowship time and prayer.
